Fledermaus Pattern - Incipient Madness
NEW PATTERN!
Fledermaus is the german word for bat. It means Flitter Mouse. I love that! I love to watch the little brown bats flying about at dusk hunting down all sorts of insects. These little bats are sewn from colorful batik cotton fabric and have pipe cleaner armature wires in the wings so that the wings can be posed. They have embroidered noses and shiny hematite eyes.
The big bat is 5 inches tall with a wingspan of 14 inches. The baby bat is 3 1/2 inches tall with a wingspan of 11 inches. The adult bat has 10mm beads for eyes and the baby bat has 8mm beads for eyes.
